“Rick’s in-depth knowledge of commercial real estate lending and deep network in the Washington Metro area compliments and further strengthens the Old Dominion National Bank lending team. Rick will significantly contribute to the continued growth of the Bank and our ability to serve the market,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer Penny Bladich.
Schoen joins Old Dominion from Presidential Bank, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Virginia. Prior to that, he was a Senior Vice President with Cardinal Bank for seven years until its sale to United Bank in 2017. From 2002 to 2010 Schoen worked for Acacia Federal Savings Bank. He began his career in the mid-1980s at Virginia National Bank, where he continued to work through its eventual growth into Bank of America.

Schoen earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary and his Master of Science in Business, with a concentration in Real Estate and Urban Land Development, from Virginia Commonwealth University. He serves on the Real Estate Finance Committee of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association. A Northern Virginia resident for more than 25 years, Schoen currently lives in Fairfax County.
